IN WHICH MY RANGE OF MOVEMENT IS LIMITED

junya watanabe sweater, selfmade top and skirt (full body shot)
Portland weather is finally starting to cool down a bit (okay, so today was still in the 80's but it's been pretty chilly the last couple mornings), so on Thursday I pulled out one of my most treasured pieces: my Junya Watanabe sweater. While I usually end up growing tired of the pieces in my wardrobe (hence the closet purge and why I am growing more and more selective about what I do buy), I still get that giddy feeling you get when you unwrap a new purchase each time I put this sweater on. Well worth the limited range of arm movement. The slim calf-length skirt didn't help much either. Baby steps.

Left: On my second to last day in New York, feeling completely haggard thanks to a busy week and only a couple hours sleep, I was caught by Elle outside of the Lewis presentation.
Right: With Gennie from Maison des Rêveries outside of the Karen Walker show.

Left: Taking the subway in one of Zana's amazing harnesses- the ultimate conversation piece. I can't tell you how many people stopped me at shows and on the street to ask about it. Also, this Harputs Own dress is satisfying my craving for some red in my wardrobe perfectly.
Right: Outside the Chictopia/Forever 21 party.

Outside of Oak during Fashion's Night Out.

Still recovering from my whirlwind week in New York (and losing my nylon swacket at a party- still kinda devastated), but I managed to round up a handful of photos of myself. Thank god for other people and their cameras. Aside from the photos of Philip and shoe shot in the post below, I failed to take anything but runway and food photos. Oops. Check out Chictopia for show coverage by myself and the other Chictopia interns. I'll be posting additional photos from the shows here in the next couple days.

Crumbs cupcakes from a late breakfast with Miss Zana and Miss Lucrecia this morning.

Philip at the Slow and Steady Wins the Race installation yesterday.

Hanh's YSL boots at the IFB Blogger Soireé on Monday. Yeah.

ps. I've been the worst at getting photos of myself while here, but hopefully a couple surface from somewhere or other. Several people have taken my photo but I never know where they're gonna end up. Zana's actually been pretty good about catching me in action this week. Dorky back-to-back shot of us included.
